Unboxing of May's Glossybox

Time for May's Glossybox! As you might have read in one of my previous posts I have actually cancelled my Glossy sub, as it is works out to be the same cost as QVC's New Beauty Test Tube, and my sample box budget just can't handle both. Having said that, I think this is my last Glossybox, and I am sorry to see it go. I decided to cancel mainly because I am familiar already with most of the products that Glossy has sent (except Pandora - Glossy introduced me to this makeup company and I am forever grateful!) and although they do send amazing sizes, I really just wanted to find out about products I've never heard of before and the Test Tube  is rockin' that so far.

So, onto the unboxing...

The box

Same pretty, sturdy, light pink box as before...

Cute wrapping
The goodies!

Going through each product...

Sebastian shampoo

This is a GIANT shampoo that Glossy sent - actually it's full-size (250 ml) and retails for $15.78. How cool is that? I actually love the smell - really fresh, like you just stepped out of a salon.

Simple eye-makeup remover

Yes! I actually needed eye-makeup remover, my Quo from Shoppers is down to the last drop. I will definitely get use out of this (I received a 56 ml sample, full size is 125 ml for $9.99).

Simple Face Wash Gel

I'm not sure I need another face wash right now, but it will be interesting to try this one, as I am intrigued by their products (and since the full size is 150 ml and only costs $9.99, if I like it I can just pick it up at Shoppers.) I received a 50 ml sample in my box.

Curel foot cream

Again, not a product I really need right now, as I'm loving Julep's 'the best pedi cream ever', but my feet do get really dry and cracked along the heel, so it will eventually go to good use. I received a 100 ml sample (almost full size) and the full size is 103 ml for $3.99. At least it's cheap to get if I like it!

Boxx Cosmetics cream corrector
Another view

This is a cream corrector from Boxx Cosmetics. I think it's so cool that this is a Toronto company and that Glossy matched the concelar according to skin tone in the beauty profile. Good job! It can be used for primer, concealer, foundation and brightener. Neat! This is a full-size sample (4 g) which retails for $24.

Coupon for Boxx Cosmetics
Boxx also included a coupon for 25% off your first order - that's nice of them, though I wish the promo code was extended as it doesn't give us much time to use it.

So overall, I was pleased with my Glossybox. Basic, staple products are always welcomed. Perhaps in the future I will be able to subscribe again, we'll see!

If you want to join me on my beauty box journey, you can sign up for Glossybox here (non-referral link). Cost is $15/month.

  1. My box was identical.. and I was quite happy with it too! I was nervous I would get a dark shade for the concealer (just my luck) but luckily I got a nice light shade :) I'm interested in that QVC tube though..

    1. I think Glossy really paid attention to the profiles, as the Boxx corrector was sent out in many different shades. Yeah, I can't wait to see what will be in the QVC tube in July!

  2. Soo jealous of you girls and your glossy box...
I really need to subscribe to this one..
    Would you recommend it?

    1. If you like larger samples this is a great box to get, but they do tend to carry a lot of drugstore brands. However, you always get your $15 worth - hope they'll keep that up for subscribers.

  3. That corrector looks neat! Never heard of boxx! Let me know how it works! I got a different brand in my box - which I will post about soon :)

    1. Yeah it's quite neat to discover another Canadian company, and I like how this corrector has many different uses!

Leave me your thoughts! I love to hear from followers and readers :)
